What Is Skype | I Want To Learn Turkish. What Would Be The Best Way Without A Classroom?

I would like to learn Turkish. I'm not in college so that's not really an option and it would be hard to find any sort of classes near me, because it's not the most popular language people are looking to learn. I have Rosetta Stone but I've read reviews and the effectiveness of actually learning the language seems to be questionable. I talk with a few Turkish people via msn and skype so I suppose they could potentially help me. I'd just like a solid self-teaching program. Thank you.

This is supposed to be the best Turkish teaching course in Turkey.Try their distance Turkish link.I don't think it's free , but I do know that the foreign teachers in Turkey learn Turkish via Tmer.http://www.tomer.ankara.edu.tr/english/

Get into the vortex. ahahhaha!

You can find more people and talk to them via msn or skype like you are doing now. so you can practice in real time.

As a Turk I often see people talk about websites they use to learn Turkish.

http://www.turkishclass.com/ - This one seems pretty good. It has an active community of people who are learning Turkish or are native speakers. Also by the looks of it it has a wide range of resources. It really eliminates the need for me to give you advice now, since it is a massive portal full of advice. I suggest you join in right now. They're very friendly and you can ask them anything.

more:

http://totally-turkish.com/ - Made by a native English speaker

http://www.livemocha.com/learn-turkish/learn-turkish - Similar to Rosetta (this site is said to be a reputable one, but I have no experience with it)

http://www.english2turkish.com/learn-turkish.html - Lots of bookmarks

There are a lot of results when you search "learn turkish" on Google but many of them look very amateurish so I just pasted here the most legit looking ones.

Check Turkish class first.
